This illuminated globe features a raised-relief surface for easy notation of land formations, along with rich, varied colors that distinguish countries, regions, states, and other political borders. Meanwhile, antique parchment-style oceans tie the classic look of this piece together. The globe is mounted on a beveled solid hardwood base with a traditional walnut finish, and features a metal die-cast semi-meridian. Soft internal lighting adds a subtle glow and gives this piece a final unique touch.

My 88 year old mother-in-law gets out a map every time a family member travels. This globe was the perfect gift. The sand colored oceans allow her to keep it in the living room as it easily blends with her decor.
