The United States Discovery Map is the perfect choice for second and third grade students. This intermediate-level design provides a seamless transition between primary maps and the more advanced political and physical maps they'll encounter in later grades. It features both a physical and political map to introduce students to different representations of the United States; the more detailed map includes rivers, lakes, and cities. Because the legend has been taken directly from the map, the key is remarkably easy to understand. An inset map showing body direction makes for an easy visual key to help students distinguish directions. The colorful Discovery Map has been printed on durable, non-tear material and is conveniently markable. It has been mounted on a heavy-duty spring roller in brackets with a backboard. This square map measures 51 inches on each side.
