Description

Truly a work of art, this Wood Gemstone Table Top Globe features over hand-carved, semi-precious gemstones that are hand-labeled and hand-laid to represent each country. Surrounding all land masses is hand-cut and laid wood to represent the ocean. This wood gives the globe a unique look, and makes it ideal for use at home or in the office. Gold-plated ribbons are placed with precision to accurately represent lines of longitude and latitude. A center-mounted compass is included for additional geographical accuracy.

      I bought this for my girlfriend as 1 year anniversary gift. She travels a lot and likes globes. This is a very solid well constructed piece. It has a nice heft and feels well worth the price. Be aware though that there is a somewhat "handmade"'quality to the map; for example some of the lat/long lines are wavy. My girlfriend loved it.
