          I placed this globe on the top shelf of an étagère at eye-level in my office. For quick reference, it is wonderful! The mother-of-pearl surface and semi-precious gemstone countries and territories are absolutely stunning, I must admit. The construction is sturdy, heavy and the overall look is superbly elegant. The most disappointing aspects about the globe are that it does not have as many cities identified (especially in the U.S.) as I had expected and perhaps this model is not as "educational" as some others you might find. All-in-all, I would highly recommend this as an accent piece for any home or office decor.
