I flew from California to Denver to my Dad's 80th birthday. I noticed he had numerous wooden globes, but nothing like a gemstone globe. I bought my husband a small desktop one for Christmas. I ordered it while back in Denver but it arrived after I got home. My stepmother sent me pictures of it and it is absolutely the prettiest globe I have ever seen. My Dad just loves it and my step-mother says they keep moving it - trying to decide where to put it. She said it is so beautiful, they are going to have to buy all new furniture to go with it. She told me they had looked at gemstone globes before, but they were far too expensive. But yours are very reasonably priced. So I scored on getting my Dad a birthday present he loves and now I am going to have to get my husband another one for our Anniversary.

This globe is a stunning addition to any room. However, if you are looking for a detailed globe of the world as it is today, this is not for you. The globe lacks details many other globes have. This globe is a conversation piece and gives a general idea of the world but it is not specific to many places in the world.
The first globe I was sent was defective as there were a few letters missing in countries and the #3 missing from a listing on the globe. The company made the return so easy and shipped me a new globe in perfect condition except for the #3 which is still missing but I kept the globe anyway. Again, it is a beautiful piece and gives you a "global" idea of the world.
