      I bought the mother of pearl globe (at a higher price) and was very happy with it. When I saw this globe for less than half what I paid for the 1st I decided based on the strength of satisfaction with the first globe to pick this one up as well. This is a great value.         Lovely globe is prettier than pictured. The stand is a very nice brushed pewter color rather than the "silver" as it was described in the ad. I am very pleased with my purchase, plus I had a 10% off offer which I was able to use as well!
