The Lancaster 12-inch Diam. Floor Globe by Replogle is a beautiful and affordable way to bring an educational accent into your home. This globe comes in your choice of non-luminated or illuminated for maximum impact. The bronze model has a raised relief design with metallic countries, while the antique model features interior one-touch illumination. Both have a full-swing, die cast metal meridian and show U.S. states and political borders. The wood stand had a dark cherry finish and traditional design. Includes 1-year warranty.

    After reading a featured article in our local newspaper about our small, but much used library, my wife and I decided to replace the antiquated world globe, which the librarian said was so old that it showed countries that were no longer in existence and lacked countries that were! Not knowing where to start, I did a search on the internet and found your site to be the best value. I then had the librarian go to your site and pick out what she thought would best suit her needs. She pick out The Lancaster World Globe model, which I ordered for them and had it delivered to my home, due to their limited hours.             A: No, it is a toggle switch.

            Q2: Can the light be turned on and off?

            A: Yes, there is a dial that you can turn it on and off with.

            Q3: How new are the political and geographical limits of the countries?

            A: Replogle updates its maps every 6 to 9 months.

            Q4: Where does the cord leave the globe to plug in, at the base of the stand or from the globe itself?

            A: The power cord originates at the South Pole of the globe.

            Q5: Does the cord prevent the globe from turning?

            A: Yes the illumination cord will prevent the globe from full rotation movement.
