I orderend this for my son's 3rd grade geography and map portion of social studies. This globe is wonderful and has exactly what we were looking for. It has the latitude and longitude lines, and all the current names of places. It also has the topography of the different countries as well, which was a bonus. Highly recommend for anyone learning about continents, the world, and the longitude and latitude lines.

I bought this globe for my two elementary school age sons. While the globe itself looks nice and the mapping is very usable, the C shaped piece that holds the globe is made of very flimsy plastic and I am worried it will break with use. Also, it does not turn smoothly. While I was not expecting super high quality, frankly, I don't think this globe justifies its [$] price. I am strongly considering returning it.

      I bought this globe for my 7 year old son who has high functioning autism. He has been obsessed with Google Earth and I've been meaning to buy him a globe for a while now. He was so excited when it came in the mail! It's a standard globe, it's the perfect size to fit on a table or on your child's lap, as it ends up on my child's frequently so he can get a good look at all the countries and cities!
