My recently purchased globe sits proudly on a piece of antique furniture in my home office and, with its wooden base, matches perfectly with the mahogany surface. In fact I chose this model for the wooden (as opposed to metal) base.
The other outstanding feature is the detail and legibility of this globe. I recommend it highly.

this globe is ok, but the color of the walnut base is much lighter in person than it is online. it's actually light brown, not dark brown. the country colors are also a lot brighter in person than online. the seams of the map do not line up perfectly either. the globe is nice, but if I had seen it in person, I would not have purchased it.

I didn't realize globes were super light! First thing I saw when I opened the box was the wooden base. Very nice wood. I love the coloring of the maps, the antiqued look works well with the whole appearance of the globe. I hope the guy I bought it for likes it as much as I do.

This globe looks good on the internet. When it arrived, it looked like a cracked egg. It was such a disappointment. The Equator edge was more like the Grand Canyon. It also had dents. The latitude and longitude lines were not alined. I do not recommend this product. I called to ge my money back..
