Old and new collide with the impressive 4-in. Copperfield Floating Globe. The antique map surface that wraps around this elegant globe levitates above its base using some of the latest magnetic technology. Equipped with intelligent computer control, this globe is one of the world's first magnetic levitating globes. The magnetic head contains an electro magnet that is controlled by a micro-processor and electronic control components in the base.         I bought this globe for my desk at work because of its small size. I found it easy to set up and easy to start levitating. It will continue so long as you don't lose power. You can also start it spinning without a lot of difficulty.

          We bought this globe for our "Hard to Buy For" son-in-law. We knew it was a hit right away, when he opened it and immediately started setting it up to check it out. It was taken to his office to display on his desk. (Another good sign). He has since told us that many of his co-workers have stopped by to admire it. Of course, this makes us very happy. No re-gift here...Thank You!
